Ho Ho Hospitality for the Barnhill Senior Community

Dear Barnhill,
Philip here. I have written to tell you about the news of Barnhill’s Senior Citizen’s Christmas Tea Party hosted by Year 9 Kings' Trust class on 17th December!

This event was very fun, and all my friends enjoyed it a lot. The assembly hall was full of festive cheer, tables and decorations. These are the roles we all took on: the waiters and waitresses were - Natashah, Khush, George, Thomas, Akash, Mehak and Djibril. Kadijah and Ollie delivered the food. Salim and Haroon made teas and coffees. Ollie, Thomas and I were the bingo callers and also waiters. Ibraheem was Santa. We also were joined by some performers, the Year 7 and 8 dancers, as well as the Year 11 singers and a piano player.

Many waiters, including me, did such a good job! We took many orders from our guests and successfully delivered with no sign of issue. The number of orders for tea and coffee was a shocking result and was outstanding!

We had to plan many things for the party, we had to put on the tablecloths, in a fashionable style to add more of an atmosphere to the Assembly Hall. We put up a lot of tinsel onto the walls and loads of Christmas LED lights to add more of a welcoming feature.

Many of our guests had a great time and enjoyed their tea and coffee, thanks to Haroon. Everything was perfect for our guests to enjoy! We made the cupcakes with delicate and aware senses, trying our best to not make a mistake! We all did very good, and everyone had a great and fun time baking the cakes!

Thank you for reading about this amazing experience with me and my friends. We thank the members of Barnhill Community Centre, and everyone that came to this tea party. Make sure to come next year!

Philip, Y9
