Welcome to Sixth Form

We are committed to providing a first-class learning experience, delivered by outstanding teachers to ensure all students excel academically and personally . In recent years student's results and attainment at Barnhill have risen sharply, with 74% A*-C grades in all subjects at A Level. During their visit in February 2024, Ofsted noted that students 'deep understanding in the subjects they learn' makes this academic success possible.

Fantastic results are incredibly important and open doors for our students, but character and effort complete the triumvirate of factors which develop the whole student; something we are committed to at Barnhill. We work hard to nurture independence and resilience and encourage all students to contribute significantly to their school and local community.

To equip students with the vital life skills needed to succeed at top universities and in demanding careers, our Enrichment Programme plays a key role in training students to become successful Sixth Formers and in educating them about the university application process. Choosing where and what to study at Sixth Form is not an easy decision but we are confident you will have a fantastic experience at Barnhill. It is an 'outstanding sixth form' (Ofsted February 2024), teachers are experts in their field and the enrichment offer and pastoral support is second to none.
