Head of Year 8 School Welcome
I would like to extend a warm welcome to our current and prospective parents and carers on behalf of all at Barnhill Community High School. I am delighted to introduce myself as Head of year 8. Having taught in Barnhill for almost three years now, I have had the privilege to teach majority of your sons and daughters, I am looking forward to leading the year group to the new academic stage of their wonderful school life in Barnhill.
At Barnhill Community School, we pride ourselves in a real sense of Respect, Wisdom, Community and Aspiration as the core value to succeed and we promote these values as the most important like principles. We as school always assure to work the hardest to ensure that our students’ every needs are met and they are supported throughout their time in Barnhill. We as school offer wide variety of subjects that students can learn form and enrich their lives with many extra-curricular activities.
We believe in developing students holistically where character building is equally important as academic success. Within every subject, character curriculum is imbedded thoroughly to ensure that we are developing lifelong learners and responsible citizens ready to meet the challenges of the future.
We have a dedicated pastoral team, who will support our students every step of the way with things such as mental wellbeing, offer safe environment where every students’ voices and concerns are heard. I as head of year believe in creating an engaging and intellectually stimulating environment where every students’ needs are catered for. I also firmly believe in working with parents and having an effective communication with every parent to ensure Barnhill continues being an excellent place for students.
