Deep Learning Day in the Science Lab

Year 10 were treated to a chilling lesson on ‘Dry ice exploration’ and learning about the concepts of states of matter, sublimation and the behaviour of gases, to help deepen their understanding in preparation for their GCSE chemistry.

Pupils then did practical experiments using dry ice such as creating smoky bubbles, singing spoons, small sublimations, inflating a balloon, pH indicators and large bubble trays.
