Ooh La La! Barnhill en France

Students enjoy expanding their cultural capital in one of Europe's capitals of culture

On Tuesday 18th June to Friday 21st June, 39 students from Year 8, 9 and 10 took part in the trip to Paris. On Wednesday, the students started their trip by visiting Montmartre, the highest area of Paris, to see the beautiful streets and the Sacré Coeur.

The students then had a picnic next to the Eiffel Tower before attending a Language lesson and then going on a boat tour on the Seine, after a nice “goûter” from a traditional bakery.

On Thursday, students went for a shopping session near the Centre Pompidou. They enjoyed a picnic outside Notre Dame before going on a guided tour of the city. Finally, the students visited the Montpartnasse Tower, the highest tower in Paris with a beautiful view of the city.

On the last day, we stopped at a chocolate factory in Beussant, to learn how chocolate is made and buy a lot of chocolate!

‘This France trip was definitely the best school trip I have ever been! I made so many fun memories and would love to go on another trip just like this one:)!!’ Malay Y9

Thank you to Miss Abelard and the supporting teachers accompanying the students that made this trip possible.
