Crafty students enjoy some practical elements of the curriculum
The textiles department was re-introduced this academic year and saw some really outstanding and amazing budding young future designers come to the fore.
- Year 7: Ugly Dolls Project
Students designed and stitched their own creations using felt.
- Year 8: Creature Comforts
Students drew inspiration from an animal theme to create a cushion using applique, stencil art and fabric crayons.
- Year 8: Pizza Making
Students in Year 8 did a 'design and make pizza' project and shaped it to their choice.
- Year 9: Great Britain
Students researched British icons and transformed their ideas into designs for their wall hangings and cases.
- Year 11: Cooking
Students made a 2-course meal for their exams and produced dishes to a very high standard.
